Yesterday, we attended the SGEMC 2025 Smart & Green Energy Shipbuilding & Marine Conference and had a chance to think about the future of the shipbuilding and marine industry.
In particular, at this event, MX3D's CEO, Gijs, gave a presentation and pointed out various challenges facing the shipbuilding and marine industries, covering key topics such as reducing the environmental burden during the manufacturing process, improving the supply chain, and making repairs faster.
In addition, it was emphasized that the lack of high-quality casting and forging technology and the lack of skilled manpower are common problems not only in Korea but also around the world. MX3D's wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) technology received significant attention as a good alternative to solve these problems.
MX3D equipment is already being used in Korea, and we expect to see this technology in even more places following this announcement. 🚀
